This week we heard the amazing story of another Kent native, Dr Ellie Yanchar. Her journey to serve the homeless and disenfranchised in New York City was a testimony of how her family and community have shaped a career that it is making an impact. Her altruism is inspiring! Next week we will hear from Mason Kisamore who is making an impact closer to home with the Mason Kisamore Family Farms, LLC.We grieve the loss of another longtime Rotarian, Dr James Waugh. Jim was an Internist in Kent for many years with an office in the First Federal Savings and Loan building on Water Street, now the Town Hall II building. I recall his stories of growing up in South Africa where his father was an executive with Firestone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Susie.
