This week we began a series of author’s presentations of their recent works arranged by member Will Underwood of Kent State University Press. We heard from Rona Simmons this week and learned of the heroic work of several “non-combat” soldiers whose work was vital to World War II’s outcome. Next week we hear from Gary Sosniecki about his true crime novel, “The Potato Masher Murder: Death at the Hands of a Jealous Husband”
A committee is hard at work developing plans for our first “in person” meeting tentatively set for the last Tuesday of June. It will incorporate some positive aspects of our long “virtual exile” such as remote speakers that we otherwise would not have access to and a hybrid format so members can join the meetings wherever they are in the world. At the same time, we are all looking forward to the comradery of meeting in person in a safe and comfortable venue. Stay tuned for more details!
