Rotary Club of Kent's own Jim Myers was honored at Kent Historical Society's 55th anniversary celebration held April 30 at the KHS headquarters and museum. Jim Myers received KHS’s Community Historian Award for his willingness to share his wealth of knowledge about Kent’s history. Myers, longtime pharmacist and owner of Thompson’s Drug Store, is a founding member of KHS and has served on its board all 55 years. The award will henceforth be known as the Jim Myers Award.
