Another reminder of our 100 year history.

In the spring of 1933 and the Presidency of W.W.Reed, economic conditions of the Depression affected our club as well as everything else in our universe.  Club membership slipped from 60 members to 58 and would fall even further in the future.  Annual dues were again reduced from $20 to $15 and could be paid quarterly!
President Reed and Presidents-elect, Amos Heer, issued the following joint statement, a portion of which follows,

“Just Between Ourselves”
It is the desire of your president and the president-elect that every one of the present members maintain his affiliation with the club during this period of stress. Dues have been materially reduced effective May 1 and an easy payment quarterly plan promulgated and under no circumstance should a member resign because he feels he can no longer afford to carry on. If necessary, in  individual cases, we will declare our own “holiday” and let you eat your lunch at home if you will but come to the meeting afterward.

Another tough moment in our history!
