Dear Rotarians,

What a fun and interesting program from Jack Amrheim as we took a trip in the time machine back to 1972.  Nothing quite like some historical perspective to help us understand the present… as our responder Tim Naftzger said, there is a lot of truth in the phrase 'the more things change, the more they stay the same'!

Please help us in our efforts to support Kent Social Services by bringing canned goods and other non-perishables to our meeting on Tuesday.  Their shelves have recently literally become bare and we can help!  Thanks to Rebekah Wright-Kulis for leading this effort and to all of you for donating items.

Congratulations to Rotarian of the Year Jim Myers for this wonderful piece from The Portager.  Jim has been a fixture in our community for a long time and we’re so fortunate and grateful that he continues to serve Rotary and our club.  Here is Jim’s article.

Sorry once again for any confusion I may have caused about the location for this week’s meeting!  We will be meeting at our regular location but lunch will be catered by Erie Street Kitchen because the church volunteers are taking a week off.  Thanks to Amanda Senn for organizing our meal – it’s going to be good!

See you at the church on Tuesday!

Yours in Service,

Dave
