President Asad Khan provided a summary of his year as Rotary President. He identified service activities, strategic initiatives, fundraising events and engagement of members. He itemized service above self events such as senior service day, the speech contest, toy drives and gazebo upkeep. Special activities included mentorship of new members, evening meetings, new auction location, having a Rotary exchange student, Safety Town planning and fundraising. There were also many worthy students of the month presented by our schools. We have a book group and hosted a holiday party. The club is using social media and marketing to attract new members to the club. Additionally, we celebrate birthdays, club membership anniversaries and Paul Harris awards.
President Asad shared photos taken during his tenure of the many events held during the year. He thanked all Rotarians for their support and involvement.
President-elect Rachel Kerns thanked Asad for his leadership during the past year. She gave him his past-president pin and a plaque commemorating his year as Rotary president.
