A note from President Dave
Dear Rotarians,

I have enjoyed our Portage County focused programs this month including having Portage County Prosecutor Vic Vigluicci this past week.  Thanks to Sabrina Christian-Bennett for helping with a great month of programs.  This week we’ll have Kellijo Jeffries from Portage County Jobs and Family Services who help provide some critical programs throughout the county.

I’m very heartened and proud to report that we raised $660 dollars last week ‘passing the hat’ to raise money to help support the long-term relief efforts in the aftermath of the devastating flooding in Pakistan.  I’m even more wowed by the generosity and spirit of President-Elect Asad and his wife Beth as they’ve pledged to double what the club raises for this cause!  We will make one more collection this week so there is still a chance to contribute if you would like.

We have a great month of October coming up with good programs as well as both service and fellowship opportunities – stay tuned for those announcements over the next couple of weeks.

I hope you all had a nice fall weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.

Yours in Service,

Dave
