Collecting funds for flood relief in Pakistan.
Bill Childers announced that the Rotary Board leadership team is collecting money for flood relief for Pakistan through a group of Rotary Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland, who are organizing the effort. Asad and Beth Khan will generously match any donations from our club members! We will pass the hat again next week.

Tom Hall: Starship was one of Tom’s favorite bands. He won tickets to a concert from WMMS and played golf at Firestone with Mickey Thomas and the drummer!
Roger Sidoti: Saw Linda Ronstadt as a warm-up singer for the Stone Ponies and recently witnessed his wife Mary dancing in front of the stage at Washington DC venue!

Student of the Month: Corinn Wolfgang
Roosevelt Principal Dennis Love presented Senior Corinn Wolfgang, who holds a 4.58 GPA, is a three-year soccer player and goalkeeper and current Student Council President.
Program: Portage County Prosecutor Victor Vigluicci
Victor Vigluicci has served as Portage County Prosecutor for 28 years. He said that the mission of his office is not to persecute, but rather to see justice and truth. He presented some statistics about his office:
- 16 police agencies and 400 officers in the county.
- 21 attorneys in the prosecutor’s office. 11 serve in the criminal division, including 2 in Common Pleas Court, 1 in Juvenile and 3 in Municipal Court. 8 serve as legal counsel for 17 elected officials serving in 18 townships.
- 924 drunk driving convictions for misdemeanors last year. One-third are repeat offenders.
- 329 cases of domestic violence.
- 1,924 felony convictions—about half were drug offenses.
- 5 staff members serve as Victim Advocates.
