President Amanda Senn called the meeting to order at 12:15. We sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Roberta O’Keefe offered the invocation. David Dix at the piano led us in singing “Eight Days a Week.”
Cathy Bakes was the guest of Roberta O’Keefe. Leah McKeen was the guest of her husband, David.
Announcements
David McKeen invited everyone to a meet-up with Kent Jaycees at the DORA on Saturday at 5 pm.
Jen Lennox invited others to join the Companion Club to serve at the Lord’s Lunch on Saturday at 10:30.
Dennis Campbell invited everyone to breakfast with City Council on the 19th of August and the Chamber Golf Outing on August 25.
Todd Packer invited everyone to attend a Zoom seminar at 6 pm on August 11 about AI and Information Managemet.
Nancy Whitehead noted that the Rotary Foundation will meet next Tuesday in the Bumphrey Room at the library to consider a request for funding.
Will Underwood reminded everyone that we will meet at Stanton on August 18, and at City Hall on August 25.

Asad Khan is happy to be home after a great vacation in the Carolinas. Mark Pennell reported that all is good after his wife’s recent surgery. Carol Crimi went to Chautauqua to hear Ken Burns and Jeffrey Rosen speak. Laing Kennedy donated $63 in honor of his and Saundra’s 63rd anniversary. Doug and Karen Fuller celebrated their 50th with a trip to New York City. Kathy and Tom Myers will celebrate their 49th on August 6. Tom Larkin celebrated the start of TRHS sports and reminded us that senior citizens can attend all games for free. Roberta O’Keefe celebrated that, in spite of some kidney problems, she’s getting healthier every day.
