Another reminder of our 100 year history.

It was 90 years ago when our club celebrating his 10th anniversary held a ladies night party and entertain the Rotary Anns, as they were then called, at Lowery Hall Kent State College. The entertainment of the evening consisted of a varied musical program. A chorus of Kent Rotarians rendered several musical selections. They were introduced as the seven man quartet. ( Editors note:  more recently a similar group called themselves “The Over Sextet”).

Later, during that same Rotary year, through the courtesy of Martin Davey, members were entertained by a group of artists that provided the program for the radio hour sponsored by the Davey Tree Expert Company broadcasting via WJAY Cleveland.

Lastly , there was a considerable drop in membership during the year due to the countrywide depression.  Our roster dropped from 71 to 63 members and no new names were added during the year.

Another moment in our history.
