Program: Marc Crail
Tom Larkin introduced our speaker Marc Crail. Many of you may remember Marc as he is a past Kent Rotarian and Superintendent of the Kent School system. Marc is living in Mt. Dora, Florida with his wife Jane. They both are working for Disney in different capacities. As a brief update on Marc’s family, Dan is living in Boone, North Carolina and is a High School counselor. John is living in Sydney, Australia and is a program director for an eye care clinic that operates around the world. Marc has written two books and shared them with the club. His first book titled Tales Out of the School was published by Amazon Publishing. It is a fictional account of a rookie teacher with funny stories. Some of the points in the book are concepts he uses in his works with Disney. Disney has 4 cornerstones – Safety, courtesy, show, and efficiency. Marc believes you must treat people well. He also said outcomes are driven by teams, but impressions are driven by individuals. His second book titled More Tales from the School is being published by C.L. Press is being released May 26, 2021. This book follows the same character in the first as he moves into his first year as a principal. Both of his books are available at www.crailtales.com.
