Thanks President-elect Kathy for a terrific job of hosting this week’s meeting. I watched the proceedings on You Tube and was struck by the quality of the program and how we have seized the opportunity to adapt to our current reality. Instead of allowing current social restrictions to limit our options we have expanded our programs to individuals who otherwise couldn’t be with us because of time and travel constraints. This applies to both speakers as well as participants (thanks to Roger Kramer for the You Tube posts)! Obviously going forward I’m sure we will continue to use these tools we have developed to enhance our programs and outreach even when we return to the “new normal”.
As the calendar and tradition dictate, we are winding down summer this weekend with the celebration of Labor Day. I always look forward to the changing seasons with spectacular fall foliage and cool nights sitting around an outdoor fire. It also means we are quickly approaching more inclement weather and even more social isolation. Let’s stay connected as best we can while still protecting each other from the spread of this virus.
