This week wraps up our month of how local educational institutions are handling reopening this fall with our own Anthony Horton and Dennis Love. They will give us the details on the Middle School and High School plans during this new school year. Next months programs feature a variety of topics as we take advantage of this online format to hear from speakers in remote locations. It is an impressive list of individuals from a retired government affairs reporter at CBS, a Washington Post and Times reporter, retired CEO and chairman of the board of GM and finally our own Rotary District Governor Pat Myers will end the month. I’m looking forward to all these speakers!
I am excited to report that our recent fundraising efforts now stand at over $30,000 ($31,085 actually). We will be contributing $4,850 to help Kent Social Services assist our community members during this time of need. We can all be proud of how our club has continued its support of our community despite disruption to our “normal” format. Your Rotary Board stands ready to support and assist this club’s efforts to meet community needs.
