Last Tuesday was such a great meeting! Our program, Dr. Marcela Castaño from Bridgestone Americas was so very impressive. Her message of helping nurture those we meet on our life’s journey was inspiring!
It was so wonderful to have those kind, attentive women of the Methodist Church serving delicious lunches, just like the good ol’ days. Remember to pay Matt Carter $12 for lunch before joining the lunch line.
This week’s program will be Rosi Peruyero-Noden and her topic will be “Sharing Culture, Food, and Hospitality as a Democratic Practice. I hope you will invite guests to join us for this meeting!
Next week, September 21st, remember to bring items to the meeting for our “Pack the Bus” Food Drive. Items they would like are: Boxes of individually wrapped Granola Bars, Breakfast Bard, Fruit Snacks, Peanut Butter/Cheese Crackers, Cookies, Chips, Nuts, Other Snack Items. I will have the shirt samples again on Tuesday. Here is an order form, so you can see what the costs are and sign up for a polo style shirt, a t-shirt, or both. If you cannot print the form, no worries, just come to the meeting and fill out an order form. You can pay Matt Carter for the shirt. Reach out to Matt for how best to get him your payment. As I mentioned previously, the polo shirts for both men and women are sized as expected. The men’s t-shirts are also sized as expected. The ladies’ t-shirts were very snug. Ladies, if you’re in doubt of your size, either order up, or order a men’s/unisex shirt.
