On October 17, 1939, the club had one of its own members as speaker. Griffith Evans, a representative to the General assembly of Ohio, spoke on the subject “The State Legislature.”  His remarks were pointed and humorous showing many of the procedures not seen by casual observers. The club had 100% attendance, with 4 members attending other clubs within the time period to make the record attendance.

And another meeting.  At the regular luncheon meeting on April 9, 1940 the annual meeting was held at the Kent Hotel and at this meeting, it was voted to hold regular meetings during July, August and September at the Twin Lakes Country Club. This may have been the first time we elected to spend the summer in the country. Our club now numbered 68 members.
