On July 24, 1942, the Rotary club of Kent acted as host to the officers assembly of the 158th district at a meeting at Twin Lakes country club. This was the first time in the history of the district that the Kent club had been honored by having the privilege of entertaining the assembly.

The theme of the assembly was “learning to live together.” The welcoming address was “the latch string is out”; and the arrangements for the day we’re under the title of “we planned it this way.”

Many of the past district governors in attendance commented very favorably upon the complete and satisfactory arrangements made for carrying out the program which had been planned.

A proud moment for our club on the district level.
