Dear Rotarians,

We wrapped up a great month of programs with Claudia Amrhein and learning about the past and future of public transportation in Kent.  The new trolleys will be great to see downtown, and we should make it a point to enjoy and support our local transportation services.

I’m happy to see one of our newer members, Denise Baba, help by serving as our August program chair.  As many of you know, taking on a month of programs is a great way to get involved and help bring new information and ideas to our club.  If you have program ideas please get in contact with our annual program director, Rachel Kerns.  Remember too that with our hybrid format we can still have speakers attend our meetings and present virtually.  Thanks again, Denise!

You’ve heard Randy Smith and I call for volunteers to help us come up with another fundraising event.  We have, and will continue to have, a great annual auction in May but we would like to have another fundraising vehicle at another time of the year.  We’re open to all ideas big and small so please consider serving on this ad-hoc committee or passing your ideas along to myself or Randy.

Have a great week and see you Tuesday!

Yours in Service,

Dave
