Annual report of the Kent Rotary Foundation.
Local vs. International
International focuses on 7 objectives, and one that we as a club care about is water. Every Rotarian Every Year donations go to international
Local- stays in the area. Not a lot of clubs facilitate local funding. 1.2 million from our club has gone locally.
The vision was started with Glenn Saltzman in 1980, in 1984 lead by David Dix we incorporated to be a 501c3.
The auction is a big way the foundation is filled. They also take individual donations as well. Rotarians can also bequest donations. 50% growth on our capital fund also goes to the foundation.
There is an achievable and easy application for people who are seeking to apply.
$38,130 given throughout Portage Co.
Glenn Saltzman honorary award is given at the auction. Last year we honored Carol Crimi.
Capital campaign – in 2021 members pledged $207,000. $148,450 was given. Aim is to increase $500,000. We have hit that goal, actually over it.
Total net worth- $595,000.
Matt Carroll has been the treasurer the last 7 year
Bill Childers- thankful for the award of $3,000 for United Way’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library program. We took a FUN club photo!
