A note from President Amanda
The ACES concert is always one of my favorite programs of the year. It's such a nice way to wrap up the first half of the year. This year was made extra special due to Davey Tree welcoming us to their new SEED Campus. The wall of windows showcasing the snow and the trees made a perfect backdrop for the students and the holiday carols. I wasn't able to stay for a tour but I know many of our members did. The photos looked amazing and I hope to be back there soon. Thank you to Jennifer Lennox for going out of her way to organize. The food, the venue and the entertainment were perfect!

Marquice Seward and the Kent Social Services team wanted me to share their thanks for our generosity this holiday season when I dropped off our toy donations!

We will be off the next two weeks so our members (and president) can have a much needed break and focus on spending time with friends and family. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, January 6th with a program by Marti Flacks, CEO, of The Cleveland Council on World Affairs.

Also, when we return it will be time to start planning for our auction! More to come on that...

Wishing our Rotarians a festive season filled with love, laughter, and countless moments of joy. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!

Sincerely,
Amanda Senn
President

Rotareminder for the Rotary Club of Kent
Meeting on December 16, 2025.

President Amanda welcomed the group by calling the meeting to order at ~12:10pm.  Our patriotic song was suspended today since we were meeting offsite and our tech group was taking an unauthorized leave of absence.   President Amanda did lead us in the pledge of  allegiance.

The Invocation for today’s meeting was offered by Anne Moneypenny, who read us a poem written by Joyce Kilmer 112 years ago appropriately called Trees.  Nithya will be handling photos and Brian is the Rotareminder author.

There were no visiting rotarians.

As in customary this time of year, the ACES Choir from Theodore Rosevelt High School, performs its annual selections of seasonal favorites as we break for the holidays.

Mr. Corey Fowler, choir director, asked each student to introduce themselves, as well as share a bit about their student engagement.  This talented group of twelve, are as follows:

               *  Greg Ballway
               *  Theseus Daniels
               *  Avian Gillig-Monroe
               *  Rafael Gregorius
               *  Adrian Huyck
               *  Trevor Lang
               *  Eliza Lanier
               *  Lucia Maltempi
               *  Peyton Richardson
               *  Jaelon Smith
               *  Katie Stahle
               *  Anya Young

The group performed renditions of seasonal favorites such as: Carol of the Bells, Childhood Xmas Favorites, Deck the Halls, Ding-a Ding-a Ding, Jingle Bell Rock, Masters in this Hall, S’Vivon, Silent Night, Snowfall and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Not surprising, their performance was well-received and through my own observations, clearly served to infuse some holiday spirit to those in attendance.

As a special treat, and as this week’s author, I took some license (as I do on occasion), to record the entire meeting, including ACES performance (for which I received consent), for those that may wish to listen again.  In addition, I have attached a link to this newsletter courtesy of Jennifer Lennox, that represents the drone presentation of the entire SEED Campus.
