A note from President Amanda
It’s always nice to get off site for a meeting - and what an impressive venue we had this week! Dean Deborah Spake gave us a wonderful presentation outlining the process of building the Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. It took years and years of fundraising, planning and traveling the country to research best practices. The committee was committed to building Kent a state of the art facility that could be the face of the new portion of campus. I particularly loved to see the finance/stock/ticker room on the main floor. And congratulations to Steve Dennis and his students on their winning record!

Next week we will be back at the church to hear Dr. Heibel from the Memorial Animal Hospital.

Please let Nythia know ASAP if you plan on attending the Guardians game on Friday, August 15th!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Designed by Parkinson Will architecture and the Collabrative. This took years in the making, back in 2013 she was tasked to raise $20 million. Ambassador Edward F, Crawford was the ambassador between the USA and Ireland, and is a first generation college student. He helped close the gap on funding, and wanted a statue and a replica of an Irish fountain.
This building is the largest academic building on campus, can accommodate 1500 seats 2,818 building capacity and 55 named spaces. 65 feet of exterior glass walls and there is lots of steel too. It is a modern building, and got lots of feedback and ideas from other business colleges. Steve Dennis has a cool class room that looks like a trading room, a Bloomberg Tunnel- updated info on bonds. A student managed investment fund Golden Flash Asset Management , and they are the most winnings in the nation.
There is also a Commerce Café that serves healthy options. They have a collaboration sphere. The classrooms are able to be rearranged, there is a lot of flexibility. There is a cool classroom that can hold 400 students and only has 8 rows.
There are a lot of creative rooms that have different purposes that give students different experiences and opportunities.
There are lots of opportunities for the students to be recruited here.

RESPONDER- Steve Dennis
