Rotareminder, November 21-28, 2023
President Asad called the meeting to order at the Bistro on Main, arranged by President-elect Amanda Penn since the women at the Methodist Church, mindful of the demands of Thanksgiving, had asked for a Tuesday off. Club members sang the National Anthem. Sue Hetrick provided the invocation. Club members sang the Thanksgiving hymn, “Come Ye Thankful People Come.”
Guests: Rebekah Wright Kulis introduced her daughter, Katie, a senior at Miami of Oxford. Rachel Kerns introduced her daughter, Camille. We had no visitors from other clubs.

Those celebrating in November: November 1, Shawn Gordon, who attended by Zoom; November 16, President Asad Kahn, whose eyesight prevented him from realizing his goal of becoming an Airforce pilot; November 17, Dominique Bollenbacher, a performer, who wanted to become a Broadway star and attended performance school in grade school; November 23, Rick Bissler; November 26, Mary Beth Harper; November 28, Nelson Burns, John Emig; November 28, John Flynn. President Asad won the free lunch.
Happy Bucks: Roger Sidoti, $1, in honor of Katie Kulis who was in Roosevelt before his retirement as principal; Rachel Kerns $6 for Habitat’s gala and $1 for her daughter; Nancy Whitehead $1 for not having to do Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in 30 years; Asad $1 for being president of Kent Rotary; Jennifer Lennox contributed a $1 for Roosevelt soccer players. Apologies to those I missed.
With no formal presentation, the meeting adjourned, and club members were invited to enjoy one another’s company.
